Hike on.
Thanks, yo! 🙂
Hey there, Kel! I gotta say I can’t wait to see the pics but this blog and Brenda are a real godsend! It was a welcome reprieve from the “wondering where he is and how it’s going” thing when I got home from work today to find your latest entries and an email from Brenda. Sounds like things are going ok and you’re right on track; distance wise. It looks like you’ll have some (welcome, I’m sure) really nice days coming up. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to make yourself keep taking one step after the other in the rain. When I left work today it was raining pretty hard. I had my umbrella but still the rain got my purse and arm wet, which pissed me off. Then I thought about you out there with no cover so I moved my umbrella to the side to let the rain hit me fully in the face and immediately put the thing back over my head. Gotta say I’m ever more impressed with you and this journey you’ve taken on. Love you much! M
That’s funny mom about the umbrella… I can see it now “Let’s just see what that’s like… ah, screw this!!!” Lol. Love you!
The journey has begun!! I’ve been checking your location often and was eagerly awaiting these first blogs! Looking forward to seeing pictures when you are able to post them.
Sorry the weather has been kinda sucky, but I’m sure it will get better. I’m glad to hear that things are going smoothly (aside from the weather) and that you’ve made some intros with fellow hikers. It will be interesting to see if you come upon them later on down the road!
Take care and always know where your towel is
My towel… is in my bounce box waiting for me in town! My camp towel is here with me but useless now!
I am still mad at myself for not being near my phone!! I’ve enjoyed your posts. However I don’t like the shuttle driver very much. “Don’t go.” WTF??? Anyway I hope you get some nicer weather! Love ya Yo! Stay safe 🙂
Just a note to let you know I’m following your journey. Smiling as I write this, I’m really happy for you and very proud. Also, a belated Happy Birthday…time got away from me and you were gone before I knew it. Same with our February visit. So sorry we missed it. Haven’t had a weekend off work since our last visit. Anyway, press ahead my son. Enjoy whatever it is you outdoor people enjoy :-). Personally, I’d rather stay indoors drinking. Much love. Be safe.
Thanks jim! Love you.
After skiing in some surprisingly great weather all day Friday. It started to rain late afternoon and that night the rain started pounding on the lodge. I have to say that I started to smile. I had the thought of that sucks for Kelly. I think that Ryan had the same thought. We started reading your blog and looking at the map. It was well written and fun.
I am curious about how much water weight your pack took on with all that rain?
Good luck buddy.
Thanks man. And yes, the pack felt like it took on approximately two tons of water weight!
